Itinerary:

Day 1 Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura

  • Depart from Marrakech early in the morning and head towards Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient kasbah and as a backdrop for many Hollywood movies.
  • Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco”, and visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Studios, where many films and TV shows are shot.
  • Drive along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and reach Skoura, a picturesque oasis town famous for its palm groves and traditional kasbahs.
  • Overnight in a riad or guesthouse in Skoura.
 

Day 2 Skoura – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

After breakfast, drive along the Dades Valley and admire the stunning rock formations of the Dades Gorges. Continue to Todra Gorges, another breathtaking canyon with towering walls reaching up to 300 meters high. Drive to Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils and the starting point for many Sahara Desert expeditions. Reach Merzouga, a small village on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, and enjoy a camel ride to watch the sunset over the dunes. Overnight in a traditional Berber camp in the middle of the desert.
 

Day_3 Merzouga – Rissani – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes and then take a camel ride back to Merzouga village. Drive to Rissani, a town famous for its traditional souks and as the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty that currently rules Morocco. Continue to Midelt, a town located in the foothills of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Drive through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas where you can spot Barbary macaques and reach Ifrane, a picturesque town in the mountains known for its European-style architecture and ski resort. 

Finally, reach Fes, one of Morocco’s most ancient and fascinating cities, and explore its medina, mosques, and souks. Overnight in a riad or hotel in Fes.
 

Day_4 Fes sightseeing – Departure

Spend the day exploring Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco, with its ancient medina, tanneries, museums, and palaces.

Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time for shopping or more sightseeing before being transferred to the airport or train station for your onward journey.
