Itinerary: 3 days trips from Fes to Merzouga

Day 1 FES – IFRANE –  AZROU – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

At 8 in the morning we will pick you up at the hotel and drive to Merzouga, Crossing the Middle Atlas, a mountain range that stretches 350 kilometers from the southwest to the country. On the way we will pass through towns like Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland”, due to the Architecture of their houses. We will also pass through the town of Azrou, one of the cities Berbers of Morocco. We will cross the Valley and the Gorges of Ziz and pass through villages like Midelt or Erfoud. From Erfoud we will take the road until arriving at Merzouga. We will spend the night in a hotel, located at the entrance of the desert.
 

Day_2 ERG CHEBBI – MERZOUGA

The second day we will dedicate to enjoy the most spectacular part of the Eastern Sahara. Us We will enter in the desert with the 4X4, we will visit nomadic towns, we will see oases and We will enjoy the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Following the route we will visit the famous village of Khamlia, where the Gnawa, Descendants of slaves from Africa, and enjoy their amazing music Folkloric At dusk we will return to the hotel to take the camels that will take us to the Berber camp in the heart of the dunes. There we will dine and spend the night in the tents.
 

Day 3 MERZOUGA – FES

Early, we will return with the camels to the hotel and after breakfast we shower and return will be for Rissani, the first imperial city of Morocco, where we can admire its Peculiar market, unique in these latitudes and place to where the nomadic tribes of the Desert to stock up. He is also very curious to see his donkey park. Then we will go to Erfoud, and we will make a stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the Valley of the Ziz, with its palm groves and gorges. After lunch, we will take the road, towards the cedar forest and we will make a stop, Forced to see the monkeys released. 
 
Before arriving in Fez, the cultural capital of Morocco, we will pass by Ifrane. This tour can be extended in days.  In 5 days it would include 1 day of the visit Fez, one of the imperial cities of Morocco, founded in the s. VIII by Mulay Idriss II, and whose medina was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The visit With the local guide includes a walk through the medina visiting its artisan cooperatives, the Madrassa, the tomb of Mulay Idriss.
