Day 1 Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

  • Depart from Fes early in the morning and head south towards the Middle Atlas Mountains

  • Continue to Azrou, a Berber village known for its cedar forest and Barbary macaques
  • Drive through the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and kasbahs, and have lunch in Erfoud
  • Visit the Rissani market and the ruins of Sijilmassa, an ancient city that once served as a trade center for the Sahara
  • Drive to the Merzouga desert and take a camel ride to a Berber camp, where you’ll spend the night under the stars
 

Day 2 Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

  • Drive to Ouarzazate, passing through the Draa Valley and the village of Tazzarine
